Who I am

​

I am a qualified solicitor with over 28 years experience in Family Law. I am accredited, as a specialist by Resolution in children and complex financial matters.

​

I am currently a Partner at the London Offices of gunnercooke llp

 

I am also a trained Collaborative Lawyer, which is a Dispute Resolution process where the parties each have a lawyer and everyone has a shared commitment to avoid a costly court battle. 

​​

Having been through the divorce process myself I know first hand that it is a very difficult time in your life. It is far from an easy process, especially if there are children involved.

​

Contrary to what people might think, being a previously 'Divorced Divorce Lawyer' has not made me cynical. There is light at the end of the tunnel and you will get through this. I am pleased to say that my divorce is well behind me and I have since remarried.

​

Outside of work I am a keen gym enthusiast and I love to travel, particularly on cruise ships.

Why I do this

The most rewarding aspect of what I do is build relationships with my clients and help them to successfully move on with their lives without all the unnecessary drama.

​​​

I meet clients at what is probably the worst time of their lives when they are often angry, confused and very distressed. However, the transformation I see in my clients at the end of the divorce process is the reason why I am truly passionate about what I do.

I know first hand that the fact you are divorced does not mean you are a failure. On the contrary, it would in my view be a tragedy to remain in a marriage where you are clearly no longer happy.
